I am afeared the words written, in your efforts of support
for what does work as "happy campers", is falling on deaf ears.
Sorry, not "deaf".. farking _closed_ ears.
This NG is fast degenerating to one that will be sorely
handicapped, in anyone posting anything of worth, when
"any old shit" is accepted as value downloads.
Good posters make good groups.
Shit posters just piss folks off.
Good posters then move their work elsewhere.
Ignorant posters of text are the pinnacle.
They are the ones who piss off the knowledge base.
Two folks I can say unequivocally have proved this.
<B. Pucky> (the original author and poster of the ABCP FAQ)
and <5foot two>.. both of whom have not returned.
As "hopper" I have listened to those of the more sensitive persuasion
and trialed the "touchy feely" methods.. or as the Yanks say "you get
more with honey than garlic"... or something like that.
It has not worked.
I knew it never would.
Usenet is just _not_ "like that".
I am not berating those that made the suggestion/s I am merely saying
you are wrong and in the last 10 months I see I have proved this to be
so, over and over.
<hopper> will not appear in 2010.
I am "bringing back the biff".
Nyms -- and yes, there will be more than one --
will be advised when I have the personas sorted.
Such activity is all that does work.
Those getting the message through losing accounts and having their
Internet experience interrupted can only thank themselves.
98% of America/Canada had to learn this lesson.. the hard way.
I do not expect you to be supportive of my move.
I do however thank you for the support this year and
wish you and those like you all the best for your participation
in Usenet.
Thankyou.
-- hopefully that has now got me "kaitched up" on what I missed
while away. Do please point me at anything I may have inadvertently
overlooked :-)
