This post may not tack onto the thread. Your post is not on this

Let's see if it tacks onto the thread.
No harm done if it turns into a free thinking radical. :-)

Why drive a bicycle (with square wheels) when you could have
downloaded the Tools Hopper posted and everything you ever needed to
post like a pro was in those Tools??
The Tools contained Agent, PP, SP (for the pros) Winrar and tutes.
Explanations of why posting in zip format puts you at risk of more
exposure on the Web than is necessary. Helpful stuff.
Important information to keep you posting in Usenet, without all the
requests for reposts.
You could use MOE if you had to.... my question is why??
I've looked at it... a long time ago.... and it's a dog's breakfast
for trying to keep stuff together. I just closed it and thought there
had to be a better way.
And Agent got posted to group. I was on my posting/downloading way.

ONLY, and ONLY if it was the PP in the Tools. Many posts using PP in
here fall over simply because of the version used. I have seen time
and time again Powerposters being asked to repost, because of this
anomaly. There are plenty of crap Powerposts in here to point you to
as examples.
Agent posts perfectly fine. Once you learn to drive it.
And believe, it is not brain surgery. I use nothing else but Agent.
Hopper uses them all (Tools). His preferred posting tool for large
files is the SP contained in the Tools. I have never posted anything
big enough to require this. Not my specialty.
Thank you for reading my Sunday afternoon rant.
I want this group to move forward. We have been on this posting merry
go round for years.
And it is the "I got it, so that is all that matters" crowd (below) --

that is keeping the group from moving forward. Crap programs will
retrieve crap posts. Capiche?
I won't embarrass them by outing their identity. No prizes for
guessing though... The headers and a little homework is all that is
needed.
What about all the other genuine posters and retrievers that can't see
your posts??
Everybody makes posting mistakes. Even Hopper! Yes.... I could point,
but I won't.... /snigger, He has His pride.
It is those that rise above them to become better posters that make
the Grade and earn the respect.
It's not about how MUCH you post, it's about how WELL you post.
Nobody is EXPECTED to post. You "owe" no one in this group anything by
way of files. This tit for tat ideology is not how Usenet works. It's
not how it was intended. You should not be "guilted" into offering
your firstborn simply because someone offered you something you
wanted.
You owe it to yourself to learn how to post, if you want to. You share
if you want to.
People have become so obligated to post, they panic and just throw the
files at Usenet, hoping they stick. Mostly, (in here) they don't.
You can choose to believe "I Am Woman", who thinks I am Hopper.
It matters not.
I won't apologise for living on the same island.
I don't have to justify it with the usual outraged "oh, no, I'm a
woman" business. I don't care if the group thinks I'm the Easter
Bunny. /twitches ears.... "don't waist your time" [sic]....ROFL
Those in here who have seen me posting forever as Pixie, know how I
speak.
I call a Spade a fuskin' Shovel. I just use more verbs and adjectives
than Hopper. No use starting a bonfire, when some cosy embers, hot
chocolate and marshmallows will do the trick. Or PG Tips! /grin
That's not to say a good bonfire isn't good for the fireworks display!
I know shit about computers, compared to Hopper. I don't usually join
the computer technobabble. Simply, because I don't pretend I know. I
would rather listen to an expert, then go from there with what makes
sense.
Hopper never shot ANYONE in here who genuinely wanted to learn.
Hopper knows shit about embroidery compared to me. You won't see Him
offering advice on embroidery.... yet..... that could change..../laff.
Embrace the Tools post when it is posted. The people who already have
in this group are still here. Happily posting, happily downloading.
You could be one too.
Pixie :-)
