Well, provided a webmaster does not associate himself with any illegal
activity, they do themselves no harm. And, if someone can run a web
site anonymously, surely he can hide his identity in a usenet post.
Photographers, of course, run even less risk, specially if they can
post anonymously.

Sigh another example of an American assuming that the world ends at the
border. 96% of people do not live in the US. And a fair proportion do
not live in the Northern hemisphere.
For me, summer is just around the corner. Petrol already costs me a
shitload more than it costs you and you don't see me complaining or
using that fact as an excuse for not surfing, running a web site or,
for that matter, using my camera! (And I say that, fully aware that I
am not posting anonymously!)
Food has been going up in price ever since the dinosaurs were pushed
off the table and yes, medical insurance too.

Nothing new there, either. We all share your concerns but we still come
back here hoping for new material.
Please tell me why you don't think the difficulty in processing credit
cards is a major factor in making the search almost-impossible.
Why, for example, should the economy of the US (in damned better shape
than in most countries, I can assure you enviously) slow down the
activities of webmasters and photographers? Most of them live in the
former Soviet Union, where the economy is actually a major factor in
why those photographers and webmasters are so dependent on business in
the first place. Not to mention the models themselves! All are surely
cursing the credit card companies for depriving them of much-desired
income.
